One mystery has been solved regarding the future of Only Murders in the Building.

The show starring Steve Martin, 78, Martin Short, 73 and Selena Gomez, 31, has been renewed for a fourth season.

The news comes the same day the trio of sleuths revealed who killed Paul Rudd‘s Ben Gilroy in the season three finale of the Hulu hit.

The renewal seemed a sure thing as Only Murders enjoyed the most-watched premiere day on Hulu in 2023 so far.

Variety looked at the Nielsen weekly streaming ratings and discovered it ranked as the ninth most-watched title of the week during the Season three launch.

It was in third place among streaming originals and remained in the top-six streaming originals in the weeks that followed.

Spoiler Alert: In the penultimate episode of Season three, the podcasters rushed to the courthouse in wedding attire and pointed the finger at Donna DeMeo, played by Linda Edmond.

The trio had determined she was the one to poison actor Ben Gilroy in order to avoid bad reviews for her son’s debut as a Broadway producer.

However, the plot thickened when Ben survived the poisoning only to die after being pushed down the elevator shaft at the Arconia.

When Donna was confronted about her alleged one-two punch, she copped only to the poisoning, saying she didn’t want to kill Ben, just stop the show.

It also turned out she took the risk because Donna is dying of cancer, but she denied sending Ben to his ultimate demise.

That villain turned out to be Donna’s son Cliff, played by Wesley Taylor, who shoved the star to his death, after Ben figured out the uber-doting mother was the one to tamper with his cookie.

There were some happy endings as well.

Was Charles the intended victim? Or was Sazz?

That mystery will be solved once the actors strike is settled.
