Nick Kyrgios has previously spoken about his love for the Japanese anime, Pokémon.

And on Tuesday, the tennis bad boy, 28, got an enormous full back tattoo of Pokémon characters to celebrate his love of the series.

Kyrgios first posted a photo of his back inked with the outlines of several characters, before it was completed with shading.

The Canberra native got the tattoo at popular Los Angeles parlour Ganga Studio, with not one, but four artists working on the design.

‘Hard. Full lines at just one hour,’ he wrote next to the photo.

He then went on to share a couple more pictures of the design being completed with shading.

Kyrgios has long been a fan of the long-running series, and back in 2016 he confessed to playing the Pokemon Go mobile app in his spare time while competing in the Rogers Cup in Canada.

Back in December 2021, Kyrgios and his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi went Instagram official after months of dating.

In February last year, Kyrgios called his girlfriend ‘The One’ and praised her for ‘bringing out the best’ in him in a series of heartfelt posts ahead of Valentine’s Day.

When asked by a follower whether he knew she was ‘The One’ the first time he saw her, Kyrgios simply replied ‘Yes’ with a lock emoji.

Kyrgios pulled out of Wimbledon Championships this year at the last minute after also bailing on the Australian Open at the start of the year.

This week, the unpredictable Aussie was scheduled to compete at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown in Los Angeles.

However, a wrist injury he is carrying hasn’t healed and he is taking more time to recover before returning to the court.

‘I just want to let you know that I am still recovering and getting my wrist right to be back on the court soon.

‘Don’t worry though! I will still be coming to LA and the UTS event. Maybe I’ll coach… any suggestions?’ Kyrgios announced.

Earlier this month, the firebrand did an interview with Men’s Health where he labelled Australia ‘one of the most racist countries in the world’.

‘I have dealt with bad racism,’ Kyrgios said.

‘Australia is a pretty racist country in general, one of the most racist countries in the world.

‘I have grown some thick skin in sport and in life, so I deal with it better than I did. But it’s never easy.

‘Some of the most iconic people in sport in Australia have told me and my family to go back where we came from and this kind of bulls*
