Amy Dowden stole the spotlight on Saturday night as she led the glamorous arrivals at the 2023 Pride of Britain Awards.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, 33, oozed confidence in a floor-length pink gown, with a giant satin bow on the shoulder.

Amy beamed for the camera as she stepped out for her first red carpet appearance with a shaven head looking sensational.

She carried her essentials in a silver sequin clutch and accessorised with a pair of diamond hoop earrings.

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the colour for which, is pink, so Amy’s dress was very fitting for the occasion.

Also in attendance were Amy’s fellow Strictly dance pros,  Janette Manrara and Dianne Buswell who were out to support their girl.

Janette’s husband Aljaž Škorjanec filmed the three ladies in the corridor exclaiming: ‘The most fabulous lobby in the world right now’.

It Takes Two host Janette – who recently welcomed a baby girl named Lyra – looked gorgeous in a pink strapless top and patchwork feather skirt, whilst Dianne opted for a white corset style dress.

Amy’s glamorous outing comes after the professional dancer returned to Strictly on Saturday night to support her co-stars in her first TV appearance since shaving her head.

She revealed that her decision to ‘brave the bald’ had been last minute and confessed to her Instagram followers that the experience had been ‘liberating’.

Amy recently revealed she’d shaved off her hair after losing much of her locks during her gruelling chemotherapy, after bein diagnosed with breast cancer in May.

She underwent a mastectomy in June before doctors discovered she was also battling another form of cancer and would need further treatment.

The annual Pride of Britain Awards will return for a 24th year at London’s Grosvenor House, with Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo co-hosting the star-studded affair.

Taking place since 1999, the ceremony honours the achievements of truly remarkable people from across the UK and all walks of life – nominated by members of the public.

After a shortlist has been produced from the thousands of entries, winners are chosen by the Pride of Britain judging panel.

Despite taking place on Sunday evening, the ceremony will be aired on ITV on Thursday October 12 at 8pm.

The Pride Of Britain awards will honour winners in nine categories; TSB Community Hero Award, Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year, This Morning Emergency Services Award, Outstanding Bravery, Child of Courage, Prince’s Trust Young Achiever, Special Recognition and Outstanding Contribution.

Winners who will be honoured at the glitzy event include murdered hero Lee Rigby‘s son, Jack Rigby, 13, and former rugby player Rob Burrow, alongside his wife Lindsay and best friend Kevin Sinfield.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror about his award, Rob said: ‘I am inspired by the true unsung heroes that make me proud to be British.

‘It is even more special that I get to receive the award alongside my wife Lindsey and great friend Kevin. I am so proud of them.’

A slew of famous faces are set to go to the bash, however regular attendee Holly Willoughby will not be appearing.

The TV presenter has cancelled her plans to attend the annual awards as she deals with an alleged kidnap plot.
