Princess Beatrice looked elegant in an all-black outfit as she stepped out in central London last night for an evening at Loulou’s.

The royal, 35, pinned her strawberry-blonde hair into a bun and donned a thick black coat for her night out in Mayfair, pairing her outfit with knee-high suede boots.

As she was spotted leaving the private members’ club, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson carried a chic crocodile print bag which was embossed with her initials – B.E.Y for Beatrice Elizabeth York.

Beatrice, a mother-of-one, kept ker look chic and simple for maximum evening glamour as she left the club.

She and her sister, Eugenie, have been keeping something of a lower public profile than usual after their mother, Sarah Ferguson, announced she has been diagnosed with skin cancer – while their uncle King Charles is also having cancer treatment.

Despite what is no doubt a difficult time within the family, Beatrice has kept busy working in recent weeks.

Last week, she hosted a reception at St James’s Palace for a dyslexia charity of which she is patron, Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity.

The event saw the royal, 35, meet with close supporters to discuss her longstanding association with the group, having benefitted from its services before officially joining as Patron.

The 35-year-old adopted a business-as-usual approach as she carried out her role as Patron of Helen Arkell Dyslexia charity, despite her mother, Sarah Ferguson, and King Charles III, both recently being diagnosed with cancer.

Beatrice commenced the proceedings by sharing her personal experience with the learning difficulty. She explained her determination to ‘change the narrative’ so dyslexic individuals are valued for the attributes that they bring to the world.

The 35-year-old also listened to a speech from Jemima Spurr, and individual who has benefitted from the charity’s services.

The charity, which provides specialist support, advice, and information to people with dyslexia, enabled Jemima to maximise the positive gifts from the condtion, such as the ability to ‘think outside the box’.

Jemima said: ‘I was so excited to meet Princess Beatrice.

‘She came straight over to congratulate me on my speech and to thank me for sharing my story.’

Jemima added: ‘She wished me luck for when I run the London Marathon in aid of Helen Arkell Charity’.

During the tea party, Beatrice also met with the British retail magnate Theo Paphitis, 64, who often appears in Dragons Den.

Paphitis set up a dyslexia bursary from which Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity is training teachers from state schools across the UK so they can better support dyslexic students.

Beatrice also met the charity’s closest supporters, including Lynn and Christopher Pann, who had flown in from Switzerland to attend the event.

Elsewhere, the royal also chatted with actress Susan Hampshire CBE and Roger Jefcoate CBE, Vice Patrons of the charity and family members of the charity’s founder, the late Helen Arkell MBE.

Meanwhile, Vickie Kennish, a longstanding volunteer at the charity, was thrilled to meet Beatrice.

She said: ‘What a wonderful experience it was to talk with Princess Beatrice over a cup of tea in this amazing palace.’

‘It was such a magical event that I will never forget, and I feel inspired to help the charity to do even more for people with dyslexia’.

Beatrice, who is the eldest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York, has only been seen in public a handful of times since Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

Earlier this month, Beatrice was seen for the first time as she put on a brave face arriving at Clarence House hours after it was revealed her uncle King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer.

She and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were previously seen leaving the entrance, which also leads to their St James’ Palace residence, in central London following the shock announcement from Buckingham Palace.

It was announced earlier this month that while in hospital for an operation on his prostate, medics spotted a second issue ‘of concern’ for the monarch, which has since been confirmed to be cancerous.

It is the second blow for Princess Beatrice after her mother, Sarah Ferguson, was recently diagnosed with a form of skin cancer.

Beatrice looked serious as she was pictured behind the wheel of her vehicle on her return home.

She and her husband had previously smiled as they drove out of the property together several hours previously.

She has long stayed at St James’ Palace since she and sister Princess Eugenie lived there while attending university – during which time Prince Andrew paid almost £20,000 per year on their behalf.
