A mistress who was caught in a patrol-car tryst with a married Maryland cop has insisted she’s ‘done nothing wrong’ – despite fury from the officer’s wife.

Virginia Pinto was seen on Monday making out with a uniformed Francesco Marlett, 34, in his police cruiser.

Marlett’s wife, Paula Marlett, was enraged by the viral footage. Marlett has been suspended by Prince George’s County police department.

Pinto, who like Paula is black, said she was attracted to white men. The father of her teenage son is also white, she told the New York Post.

Pinto, an Army veteran, said she and Marlett had been involved for two years, and his wife knew about their ongoing affair.

‘What’s so exciting? He’s a cop. I’m a civilian. We got caught. It sucks, but this will pass,’ she said.

‘I’m living my life. I have children. I’m sure, as you guys know, I have a 15-year-old autistic boy. His father was caucasian. I guess I have a thing for caucasians.’

In the 47-second video, Pinto and Marlett are seen kissing passionately by his car, which was parked near Oxon Hill High School.

The pair climbed into the back seats of the car and stayed there for 40 minutes before leaving separately.

Pinto insisted she had nothing to be ashamed of. ‘In my head, I’ve done nothing wrong,’ she said. ‘I’m going to continue living my life, doing what I’m doing.

‘In my heart, in his heart, I know that I’ve done nothing. He knows. Paula knows. I’ve done nothing wrong. God is my higher power.’

She admitted that the romp ‘looked bad’, but stressed that they were in a relationship, and it was not a fling.

Paula Marlett, 29, has called Pinto a home-wrecker, but admitted their marriage was in trouble

‘That’s the main story — that this isn’t a little thing,’ she said. ‘Of course, since he’s a police officer, it looks bad. But I just want people to understand that this was not a one night stand.’

Marlett’s wife accused Pinto on Facebook of being a home-wrecker, but Pinto on Wednesday told the Post that her lover’s marriage was not happy.

On Facebook, Pinto claimed that Marlett’s wife was also cheating – but she told The New York Post she would not discuss her allegation.

‘I’m not going to tell you that, come on. I can’t tell that to you,’ she said. ‘There’s no bad guy in all this. We’re all the bad guys, I guess.

‘From what I read in the reports, allegedly in May he got suspended for domestic violence.

‘That should prove right there – ding-ding-ding-ding-ding – maybe something’s not great in the relationship.

‘Now people will understand, will see, that no marriage is perfect. He just happens to be a police officer.’

Paula, in a text message response, said her husband’s mistress was ‘easy’, but admitted their marriage was in trouble.

‘Seems like Virginia has a mouthful to give about me when her husband left her dirty ass bc she can’t stop cheating and inserting herself into other ppls business,’ she texted. ‘My husband used her for sex bc she was easy.

‘He gave her broken promises so she would give him p****. She’s easy. I never put our marriage out there bc like all marriages we hit a rough patch . We get thru everything at the end of the day.’

Marlett was awarded a Bronze Medal of Valor by the Prince George County police department in 2021 – which means the officer would have put himself at ‘unusual personal risk’.

It is unclear what Marlett did to be awarded the medal in 2021, but the officer has since been suspended – his third suspension from the force.

The first suspension was in 2016 when he was suspended without pay after being charged with child abuse.

He was accused of knocking his then-girlfriend’s three-year-old boy unconscious while off duty at his home in December 2015.

Prosecutors alleged at the time that he was watching his girlfriend’s three-year-old son on December 27 while she was making dinner, and began spanking her son after he soiled the bed.

As he was spanking the child, the boy’s head hit the wall and he lost consciousness, prosecutors alleged.

Angela D. Alsobrooks, the then District Attorney for  Prince George’s County, said in the statement at the time: ‘There is no excuse for Officer Marlett’s actions,’

‘No matter what may have happened, striking a defenseless child and causing this type of injury is never acceptable.’

Marlett, who has been employed by the force for 10 years, had the charges dropped and expunged, allowing him to return to duty with the Bureau of Patrol.

The disgraced cop was suspended for a month in May 2023, after being accused of domestic violence, but then returned to duty in June.

PGPD said in a statement on Tuesday: ‘The officer has been identified. His police powers are now suspended as the investigation continues,’

‘As soon as we became aware earlier today, we opened an investigation to determine the circumstances.

‘Additional information will be released once investigated and confirmed.’

His latest suspension comes after the shocking video showed the uniformed cop kissing his scantily clad mistress in a park, and then climbing in the back of his cruiser with her.

The video first shows the pair kissing as the woman touches the officer’s head. The woman then heads to the back of the car, with the officer’s arm around her.

DailyMail.com were unable to contact Marlett for comment on the probe and suspension.

Prince George’s County police union boss Angelo Consoli confirmed the union was aware of the video, and the police department is investigating.

‘We support our officers during any and all investigations, and ask that people reserve any judgment until the facts come out,’ Consoli said. ‘At which time, we’ll reevaluate our position.’

Nelson Ochoa told WRC-TV that he filmed the now-viral video on Labor Day, when he was out playing soccer with family at Southlawn Park in Oxon Hill.

‘As soon as I started recording, a car pulled up and a young lady came out,’ Ochoa said.

‘We couldn’t believe what we were seeing, and what really made us go, ‘Wow, this is crazy,’ is when the car started rocking a little bit to the left and right.

‘That’s when we were, like, this is crazy. In broad daylight with kids around.’

Ochoa said that Marlett and the woman drove off in opposite directions about 40 minutes after the liaison began.

‘I’m glad I caught it on camera so Prince George’s could see what kind of officers they have working for them supposedly protecting the community,’ he said.
