Susanna Reid is one of the main presenters on ITV’s Good Morning Britain. The 50-year-old from Croydon appears on the show this morning with colleague Richard Madeley. Susanna always looks elegant and viewers will notice her slim frame – what are the secrets to her fantastic figure?

“Home cooked food, avoiding takeaways, things like drinking wine and cheese that all adds up.

“Keep moving, go for walks and exercise because if you are sedentary and you consume all this extra energy it has nowhere else to go then become body fat.”

Earlier this year, in March, Susanna mentioned her weight again when speaking about some lockdown restrictions in England being eased.

The presenter said: “I’ll tell you what, it’s a little early for a swimsuit.

These changes reportedly involved cutting back on alcohol and snacks, which she continues to do today to maintain her slim frame.

Posing for Prima magazine in 2019, the presenter said: “I feel fantastic.

“This time last year, I went to the doctor with a skin problem and he told me I could do with losing some weight.

“It turned out I was at the upper end of my BMI and, I have to admit, I’d been feeling a little heavy for a while.

“I’ve lost a stone and a half since then and I feel fantastic.”

Speaking to the Sunday Times Magazine in October 2020, Susanna added: “I was concerned because my skin was flushed, I kept getting flare-ups and blemishes, and they were leaving red scars.

“I’d tried all manner of creams and washes, but I knew deep down that what was happening to my skin was probably a manifestation of what I was putting into my body.”

Around the same time, the presenter told ITV’s Lorraine how she reduced the number of snacks she ate, revealing: “It can creep up without you noticing, and what I did was cut out snacking.

“I found waking up so early in the morning, and you’re in a sort of energy deficit and all your body can think of is to have toast and biscuits. And you can pile it on really quickly.”
