Fans were pictured with several signs, including a poster which demanded the manager Jorge Vilda to be relieved of his post.

The Spain women’s team manager has become a polarising figure among his team, with those divisions becoming very apparent at this year’s World Cup

However, he led his side to an unlikely victory in the tournament – but fans are still suggesting he should leave.

It remains to be seen as to what the future holds for the manager, whose future could still remain in doubt despite the achievement.

It was the most unlikely of victories, with Spain nowhere near favourites going into the tournament.

However, Vilda’s side impressed throughout before finally lifting the trophy at the end of the World Cup.

The Spaniards will be celebrating all night in Madrid after welcoming their heroes home.
